Love the Ryder Cup!

I've been watching the Ryder Cup with my family as long as I can remember.  I love the team competition and pulling for the USA.  We watch it together as a family and get really rowdy! We always plan a special BBQ or meal for the Sunday matches too.  I'm pulling for king crab legs this year and Team USA of course.

My fellow senior and good friend Carly shot her first high school round under 40 today. She put up a 3-over 39 playing the back-nine at Rustic.  Way to go Carly!

300 yards of swagger...

Had my first 300 yard drive during a competitive round last week.  Officially clocked in at 302 yards.  Had to check my "range-finder" twice for my approach shot and I even looked at a sprinkler head just to triple check. I know "you drive for show and putt for dough"... but this sure motivates me to keep seeking a perfect swing. Distance is not an issue here!

My last "home" match against Oaks Christian. LA Daily News noticed too.  How cool is that!

Remembering 9-11

I started first grade when 9-11 took place and have vivid memories of the tragedy and aftermath.  Now here I am entering my senior year at La Reina.  God Bless America and the 9-11 families.
